Me In A Paragraph

Hi, welcome to my page. My name is Meghan. I'm a pre-vet major currently working at the Oakland Zoo. At the zoo, I work with two different strings of animals. (A string is a group of animals that is under one or two zoo keeper's supervision.)
      String One
7 giraffes, 3 elands, 3 dama gazelles, 2 griffon vultures, 5 egyptian geese,
2 african pied crows, 1 east african crowned crane, and 1 liliford crane.
      String Nine
      4 zebras, 7, cotton-top tamarins, 3 ball pythons, 1 african spurred
tortoise, 1 white-throated monitor, 1 yellow anaconda, 1 beauty snake,
3 plated lizards, 4 blue and gold macaws, 2 chestnut mandibled toucans,
2 more pied crows, 3 cattle egrets, 2 sacred ibis, 4 hadada ibis,
      2 blue-bellied rollers, 23 fischer's loverbirds, 2 hammerkops, 4 hottentot
teals, 37weavers (red bishops and taveta golden weavers), 7 speckled
      pigeons, 1 spur-winged lapwing, 1 tambourine dove, and 4 white-faced
      whistling ducks.
I've been a vet tech elsewhere working with cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, rodents, and large exotics like tigers and baboons. I currently don't work at the zoo as a tech, I work more as a keeper's aid to the two strings above, but I'm hoping that a vet tech position will open up someday. :) I have a wonderful family...two moms, two dads, and two sisters. I have some wonderful pets; Mistoffelees and Grizzabella (my two cats), Freddy (my fat-tailed gecko), and Amaya (my brazillian rainbow boa). In my spare time (which is rare) I love to read, cross-stitch, bike, fish, and (duh!) dabble in some web design. I also really appreciate art and am a HUGE photo nut as you'll see if you look around. Thank you for visiting and come by again some time. :)
