August 14, 2005 I've decided to not move in with my sister. I have issues with her boyfriend. I took the test for Modesto's Animal Control officer opening and have been put on an elgibility list. They won't tell me anything else. Stockton has an Animal Control Officer opening also and I've applied. Since I haven't gotten the job in Modesto and I'm not moving in with Julie I've decided to go ahead and continue school because I WAS a little bummed with the idea of taking a break from it. Fall starts tomorrow. YAY!! I'm actually excited about it a little because I've been so damed bored lately. Yes, I've gone camping and fishing and OH!!! I met my friend Julie's baby!!! He's a month old now and has the biggest blue eyes. I'm so happy for her. But her husband, Patrick is in the reserves and has been called to go to Iraq. It's really sad because their son was just born. I hope everything works out for them. - Meghan July 18, 2005 I was online and started talking to paul. Neither of us had eaten much so I asked him out to lunch. My car was stolen when I was visiting my sister in Hayward so I walked to McDonalds to meet him. It was nice. We were there for two hours. I talked a wee bit too much about Matt and feel bad for that. He seems nice and I look forward to seeing him again. - Meghan July 10, 2005 Matt and I officially broke up May 30th. We still love each other but we just can't seem to get along very well lately. We relapsed alot in June so I wouldn't say the end of relationship really happened until July 4th. All our major events seem to happen on holidays. I still want to be friends with him but I realize a relationship with him isn't healthy for me right now so I wish him all the happiness in the world and am moving on with my life. Julie, my sis, just graduated from Hayward High School June 16th. Congradulations to her!!!!! I'vr been thinking about moving to the bay area to be her roomate. She really dislikes living with our dad and can't wait to be out on her own. Our mom lives in Modesto and and she's tempted me to try to convince Julie to move to Modesto by sending me information on a job opening in Modesto. The job opening is an animal control officer. I LOVE animals and have decided to take a break on school until I am 24 (so FAFSA can kick in and pay for school) so this job would be really great. It pays $2500-3000 a month and just overall seems cool. Isn't my mom evil? lol, j/k. I recently gave Loki to my gramma and aunt. They live together on a big farm and Loki had been going stir crazy since I moved from my one bedroom with Matt to my tiny studio. Misty has become more of an 'attention whore'. Since my new place is on the second floor I let her out on the balcony. I still have to watch her like a hawk. My balcony doesn't have a roof, it just has a beam, and Misty can jump the seven feet from the ledge to the beam and from there get up on the roof. I usually keep a really good eye on her and get her down immediately and lock her inside for the rest of the day but July 4th I didn't pay close enough attention. Matt called me from work around 7 and invited me to come hang out with him. He moves patients around and basically just hangs out at the hospital waiting for pages and the 4th was VERY slow. I looked everywhere for Misty and was afraid she had gotten up on the roof. I left to hang out with Matt hoping she was under the bed even though I highly doubted it because she doesn't go under there unless it's cold or she's scared. I hung out with Matt until he got off work at 10. We could see the fireworks from the parking lot so it was cool. When I got home I searched all over again. I turned on the balcony light and called for Misty and a few minutes later I hear a little meow. Misty came off the roof onto the beam and tried to jump down. But it was too high for her so I had to get a chair and save her. Sheesh. That's what's been going on. I'm camping with my family Aug 5-8. I'm really looking forward to it because I haven't been camping or fishing in such a long time. Well.... I have a lot to update on this site so that's what I'm planning to do with my freetime over the next few days, so maybe I'll see you online. :) Later. - Meghan March 22, 2005 Stockton was flooded today. It rained too much for the sewers to keep up. Matt and I were headed over to his parents house to bid farewell to Matt's brother, Bruce. Bruce is in the navy and was on leave for a week after being away for 9 months, and he was shipping back out. Though we don't think he'll be gone too long this time because his ship's generater fucked up recently and needs to be fixed. Anyways, on the way to the house we encountered a LOT of water. It was filling the whole street, going over the sidewalks, and up to people's doorsteps. We tried to get through it, but we ended up having to back up out of an intersection and find another way because we were in Matt's mustang and we didn't want to get stranded in the street or ruin the car. So that was my day. How was yours? - Meghan March 20, 2005 Here is the standard 'This is my first entry.' post. I've downgraded to a freebie site because I'm just a poor college student. It's still under construction but there are a couple interesting links. Have fun looking around. - Meghan Current Journal |
